Why Commission?

Have you ever wanted to capture a feeling or emotion from a special person or moment in time that you could be reminded of every day?

Art is a way you can hold on to that experience.

I would love to collaborate with you and create your vision on canvas.

It's easy!

Lori Tatum Art-3.jpg

I feel like Lori's work speaks for itself.  It's beautiful, stunning, and you can tell that part of her heart went into each piece.  She has painted three treasures for me.  All three pictures of my girls.  I love seeing how she will express each new piece and how much her talent grows from one project to the next.  I'm so grateful to Lori for sharing her gifts with my family!

Have Questions?

Q. How much is it to commission a piece of artwork?

A. The best way to determine the cost is to email me to set up a consultation.  Price will vary due to size, materials, and complexity of the project.  I have a pricing calculator that I use to determine a quote once I know exactly what you want.

Q. Do I have to pay you before you begin a commission?

A. Once we have completed your consultation and you accept your quote, you will be sent an invoice for a 50% deposit before I begin your project.  This deposit is non-refundable once the project has begun.  This insures that materials and hours are covered.

Q. What if I don't like my painting when it is complete?

A. You do have a right to refuse your finished work although I find that highly unlikely.  When I am working on your project, you will be able to see the first sketch and approve before I go any further.  Also, when I am halfway done, and once again at the final stages.  Once you have had the third and last opportunity to see the project, you will not be able to make any changes.  I can assure you I will do absolutely everything to make your work of art something you will be proud of for generations to come.  Keep in mind that if you choose to not keep your painting, your deposit is non-refundable.

Q. Do you work from any photo or do we have to come in for sessions.

A. Even though it is awesome to work from life, sometimes it is not possible.  I like to serve everyone even if you are not local so yes I work from photos.  That being said, the better the photo, the better the painting.
